Dr. Yung has treated countless athletes, but the most memorable one is gymnast Angel Wong. Dr. Yung recalled that about ten years ago, Angel fell from a height during a gymnastics competition in Japan, completely tearing all the ligaments in her knee, a very serious injury. Angel returned to Hong Kong to seek treatment from Dr. Yung. Dr. Yung reminisced that in the past, with such severe injuries, the hope was just to be able to walk again. However, as an athlete, Angel was very worried and scared but also hoped to return to the competition field. Dr. Yung admitted that Angel's situation was a significant challenge for him. He said, "I have always aimed to provide the highest expectations within a safe margin, and once we set those expectations, we could work together to pursue them."
Dr. Yung and Angel established a treatment plan, initially expected to take two years. Dr. Yung emphasized that Angel's injury was very severe, requiring a long treatment period: "It’s two years! Not two weeks or two months, but two years." Over the two years, Angel underwent several surgeries to gradually reconnect and rebuild each ligament, slowly recovering. In the end, after more than two years, Angel not only could walk and run again but also returned to gymnastics competitions, surpassing the expected recovery outcomes!
Dr. Yung mentioned that Angel's first competition after recovery was a local open competition in Hong Kong, where she won the championship! He was also delighted to accompany Angel to the National Games: "Reaching the level to participate in the National Games proved that she (Angel) had recovered well! I also remember that about two or three years ago, she won a medal in an international competition." Dr. Yung calmly recounted the experience of treating Angel, but it is evident that Angel's rehabilitation process must have had many ups and downs, with Dr. Yung supporting her throughout. Seeing Angel return to the competition field and realize her dreams truly made Dr. Yung happy for her.

Angel's return to the gymnastics field was not easy, and she deeply appreciates Dr. Yung's support. Dr. Yung's office has many memorabilia gifted by athletes, including a painting by Angel herself. The angel in the painting represents Angel, and the person reaching out to help her, Dr. Yung jokingly said, "I guess that person is supposed to be me?" Angel wrote two English sentences on the painting. Dr. Yung explained, "With your love you reassured me" because he told Angel at the time, "You can do it! We'll take it step by step, and you can be an athlete again!" The other sentence, "With your hands you restored me" reflects how Dr. Yung used his hands for multiple surgeries, allowing Angel's knee to recover to an athlete's level, enabling her to walk, jump, and run.

After completing the course, Angel took on coaching duties. Dr. Yung said, "I'm so happy she is now applying her sports medicine knowledge to help with her coaching work."
